The Crown, Shillington

What a cracking pub this is. Food is of a very high standard but reasonably priced. We have visited twice now, first time was on a Friday lunchtime when we tried them out by having a baguette - what good value that was, with homemade coleslaw and really fresh salad. After that good visit we tried them out last Saturday evening for a family dinner and all I can say is what a welcome change to all the chain pubs in the area! You can tell they are buying fresh and so much care goes into the dishes. Beer was really good with three real ales and good lagers - I'm not a wine bof but my frieds said it was an excellent list. Oh yes, they do homemade chips as well. We will definitely be going back again.
