The Andover Arms, Hammersmith

I've gotta say that nothing can really disguise my diappointment over what has happened to this fine little boozer tucked away in the back streets of Hammersmith. It was lovely and quaint the way it used to be so why an earth was it done up to make itself try and look like one of those trendy chain bars in the city? Have Pitcher and Piano taken over or something? I won't be returning back here again in a hurry!

Its happened to so many fine establishments around here and I've heard that the Salutation Arms is now next for one of these homogeneous 'refurbs'.

The Brook Green Hotel, Hammersmith

I have to concur with the comments below. When I first moved to Hammersmith this use to be a pub that I really liked and I would have described it as 'my local'. It also use to be one of the few pubs that still had a dart board in it. But then it had a refurb and the drinks prices shot up and even by London standards the price of a pint in there is way way too much.

The Walter Arms, Sindlesham

A very descent boozer indeed.

However I had a unique experience in there cos I met some bloke whose name was Harry and he looked well depressed and was stairing into his pint glass in tears. I asked him what was wrong and he just looked at me and said 'I dropped fifty grand in a casino which I kept in the glove compartment next to my gun'. The pianist then started playing Tragedy.
