The Border Minstrel, Newcastle

Don't go if you are hungry and it is windy. Apparently the wind causes the gas to blow out and they have to shut the kitchen. That said, I found the staff quite pleasant and the beer ok. My wife has been there before and said the food was nice. Decor quite comfortable. Three real ales from mainly local breweries.

Fantastic place. 12 handpumps, each with a different beer in excellent condition. An absolute gem of a place.
