The Stratford Haven, West Bridgford

Good pub - well kept beers with a great choice of real ales, as well as choices for lager drinkers. They always have Castle Rock's Harvest Pale (well, other than when there was a world shortage!) and run a loyalty scheme for free beer ...
The food is really good with several innovative vegetarian chouices everyday. Not bad prices either.
Gets a bit much if there are games at the Forest ground or at the Cricket ground, but that's usually quite short-lived.
Don't park in the Co-op car park for too long - they put pricey tickets on the cars! Other than that, a good time to be had at teh Stratford.

Lord Roberts, Nottingham

The Lord Homo is a great pub. They keep their beer well, and the wine is a bargain for the bottle. Bar staff are friendly and know what they are talking about. A proper pub with a roaring fire in winter and good, if basic, food. Just what you need for a meal and a pint.
