The Rosebud, Brightlingsea

I think the recent coments are boring & pointless, they can't seem to say anything constructive at all about this lovely pub.
The days are gone of the Rosebud being just a drinking house because it's turned into a gastro pub thats food led from Wednesday to Sundays, thats why it would be quiet on a monday. Given the price of beer nowdays & the quiet location of the pub, of course it's quiet.
The new chef is amazing and the food is top notch their & their is not anything this good for miles & miles around. The Service is exceptional as is the food. The Rosebud was recently reviewed by The Gazette & got 5 out of 5 for the food. Not bad for a dreary pub as some say. I have eaten, drank & relaxed at the Bud & its been sensational everytime & have reccomended it to many sailors who have all enjoyed the same experience. I spoke with the Chef Patron about this review of bad service and was informed it was a mistake by the person that wrote it & had since recieved an apology in writing for the worst service in the world comment & comment of the food. Chef Mat has been judged on his food & has come out shining every time. Old boozers are long gone & I like the new classy Rosebud that serves fine dining standard food & provides an exceptional Service. with reference to the last person that commented on the ale not being at it's best, as mat said to me, it is expected that ales can turn and not be at their best but a fresh alternative is always on offer and apologies are always given, even though this is completely normal with ales. Try going for food & not beer instead.
