The Crown and Trumpet Inn, Broadway

The Crown and Trumpet is a good locals pub with friendly staff in a pleasant central location, and reasonable if unadventurous food served with good breakfast. However I would DEFINATELY NOT recommend it for it's accommodation.We cut a visit short because we had such an awful night there and couldn't face a second. Room was depressing, and old fashioned and in need of redecorating. Bathroom was clean enough, but very small, and there was a bit of mould on the walls Our particular complaint was the excessive noise at all hours of the day and night. Noise from the bar itself was not too bad, but after closing time patrons stood outside making considerable noise. Then there was a lot of disruption from the kitchen below till the early hours of the morning, then the staff (who lived on site) disturbed us in the hallway outside the room in the early hours of the morning, and deliveries to the kitchen and bar started up very early. We could also hear the guests in the next room far more than we would have liked. All in all, a horrible, sleepless night that ruined our short break. We will definately not be making a return visit.
