An excellent pub, with a good atmosphere.

Welcoming if you are on your own (sit at the bar and you will be involved in a conversation in a short time)

Kids are not allowed in the main bar areas (extra points for that), though they are allowed in the room behind the bar (avoid if you can)

Beers change regularly and there are usually at least a couple of dark ales, milds or porters

Regular live music at weekends

A popular and friendly pub

Well behaved dogs are welcomed

Dead Poets Inn, Holbrook

An excellent pub, with a proper atmosphere.

Get there early if you want a seat or are in a group, can be very busy in the evenings and frequently has more people in it that in can comfortably hold

In the winter, you may well be surprised to find a nice welcoming seat free, right by the fire �.
The reason for this is that within 5 minutes you are stripped to your pants and suffering from heat exhaustion !

Long may the landlords no children in the pub policy last
It is a blessed relief not to be plagued with bored and unruly kids

Kids are unfortunately allowed in the conservatory and this can be a like a cr�che at weekends and early evenings

Altogether this is a pub, for adults, to drink beer in.
Exactly how they should be
