Dear sunboss - thank you for your response. I had actually asked the facilitators of this site to remove my comment the following day, but unfortunately, this is proving difficult. I completely understand that you have to abide by the law and can only apologise for my previous review. It was simply how I felt at the time, although I had had a very good night. I vow never to review a pub again whilst I have been drinking! I will also never post negative reviews of pubs in the future and will instead 'vote with my feet' and find elsewhere to drink (I'm all in favour of pubs - good and not so good, staying open at all costs, especially in this difficult financial climate). Please accept my sincerest apologies and I hope that my comment does not effect your future business. You have done wonderful things with the pub and I wish you all the best for the future. I will ask again for this comment to be removed as soon as possible. TO ALL OTHER USERS - the fact that this manager has taken the time to respond to my negative comment is evidence that he is obviously passionate about his business and also interested in what his customers have to say - please do not let my previous sway you. You should always take the time to visit an establishment and make your own mind up as everything on here is just a personal opinion and entirely subjective, after all. Many thanks.

Unfortunately, just got home from this venue on a Saturday night. Regardless of my previous, was made to feel thoroughly uncomfortable and won't be going back to this venue again. It felt a bit like the owner could not wait to see us leave and this was made quite evident to us. Apart from asking us to wait outside whilst we were waiting for our cab, they also made a point of closing the blinds on us and switching the lights off as soon as we left, which really isn't what you would expect from a "classy" joint in Hampton Hill. A real shame as we had a really good night up until this and the staff here are extrememly friendly and accomadating most of the time. We will be going elsewhere on the weekend from now on, which I suppose will be no real loss as far as the owner is concerned, evidently, but a great shame as far as we are concerned as we had very high hopes for this place. Apparently, they do do a very nice Sunday lunch, which we have never sampled. Lets just hope it's not served with a side of attitude like we received tonight.

Regarding the previous comment, "not quite what the High Street is looking for..."...surely whatever happens it can't be any worse than it was before?! I think residents will certainly be breathing a sigh of relief. Having seen this establishment before and after I can say with some authority it is currently a vast improvement on what it was. Friendly staff, clean surroundings and a generally much improved atmosphere (no more drug deals in the loos and general distressing behaviour!!) this pub is a little piece of heaven in Hampton and highly recommended. I believe it is precisely what the High Street is "looking for" (as long as you aren't looking for sticky carpets, spittoons and yellow nets) and long may the current management reign. Good luck and best wishes.
