" Had dinner at the LX on Friday night..........tried the herbed polenta with glazed balsamic artichokes, feta and walnuts, followed by the seabass on white bean puree and then the cheesecake (shared!). The food was fantastic......the dishes were interesting, the flavours fresh and all cooked perfectly. The food compares... extremely favourably to other local eateries such as the Garrison, Village East and Bermondsey Kitchen. The new chef, Nick, is a great addition to the LX and I can see the 'Leather Uppers' becoming a regular weekly destination for dinner. P.S. The cocktails are great too - thoroughly recommend the Raspberry Chilli Martini!!

Worplesdon Place Hotel, Worplesdon

I also went to Worplesdon Place on Fathers Day. we had a private function in the back room. There were 25 of us and the food was just brilliant. I have never been to a function that served the quality of food we had. the service from our waitress Jayne and Gen was brilliant. I actually was having a drink next to the Chicken Goujon eaters. If you don't like it don't waste space by eating Kids meals on a very busy day. go to Mcdonalds
