The Rose and Crown, Shilton

My wife and I organised a family and friends get together to take place at the Rose and Crown. We had to change the details of our booking a number of times but throughout this process the staff were very accommodating and very helpful. When we arrived we were suprised to see such a busy pub! There was another large party of dinners as well lots of tables in the bar. This gave us concerns that the service would not be up to par. This was definitely not the case. When the food arrived we were even more delighted. My wife and I had the Game Croquettes to start which were fantastic. My Venison was equaly good and my wife claims her Steak & Ale Pie was the best she's had! However the star of the show was the Bread and Butter Pudding, it was out of this world (as agreed by a number of other members of our party enjoying the same choice). Overall 10/10. Will definitely be returning, if only for the Bread and Butter Pudding!
