Truly awful. Unless you like your fish pie half cooked and with a 5" black hair in it. The staff didn't care a less when I told them abt my Sussex Smokie's short comings which was more like a Lidl fishcake squashed into a dish. The "maitre d'" or front of house must have been trained at the Millwall School of Charm while the boast on the board outside claimed the food was the "best in England" must have Raymond Blanc quaking in his pinny. Such a shame and a wasted opportunity and a great example of the UK catering industries contempt for the customer in favour of bums on seats and profit margins.

The Coach and Horses, Beckenham

England win the Ashes on Sunday 23rd August !! but unfortunately The Coach and Horses at 3pm just as England turn the screw on the Aussies decide Fulham vs Chelsea is more important "why have you turned over to the football?" I ask....and was met by a rude middle aged barman who doesn't have a clue about the significance of the moment or the other people watching in the pub and replys with "the football's advertised!" It's a shame because it's one of the few good pubs in Beckenham and i won't be going back in a hurry. If only the owners of the Bricklayers would go back and hide under a stone somewhere!
