Ye Olde Monken Holt, Barnet

I used to drink in the Monk many years ago and was in the area so I thought I would pop in for a drink.it has retained its old world charms but the grumpy staff had gone to be replaced with attractive friendly and a very efficient crew.
The beer garden is fantastic and I had a lovely cold glass of house wine.Inthe old days it was such a locals pub that strangers felt like intruders but last Saturday I was as warmly welcomed as I was 15 years ago.
A very pleasant trip down memory lane .Thank you
