The Rectory, Purley

The Rectory is a damn good Pub/Bar or whatever you call them nowadays. It is a very good mix of people who are comfortable wearing a good quality fleece, T Shirt or those young ladies who dress to kill!! I wasnt a big fan when it opened as it seemed to attract a fairly undesirable crowd but it seems that it has been tough on rabble and is now a very comfortable place to drink and indeed to eat....I had a Chicken wrap thingy which was very nice. I think the Rectory is as good a Pub as there is in South London and the staff are quick and friendly....and lets be honest thats rare nowadays.
