The Old Fish Market, Bristol

Overpriced food lacks any quality‎ -
Our starters included sesame prawn toast - no sign of any prawn between the 'fried bread' and sesame seeds! You pay on ordering and we were refused a refund when voicing our disgust of the pitiful attempt to produce this simple starter.
The prawn and pork dumplings were passable though few for the price.
Pad Thai Prawn noodles - 8 skewered prawns on a bed of noodles, lacking in corriander and other vegetation but again passable and overpriced.
The Pub Burger comes complete with cheddar and bacon in 'rustic bread' salad and fries. It was very dry, very little tasteless cheddar and the fries were an overcooked crunchy affair that should never have left the kitchen.
Though a fine pub with an excellent selection of real ales, I could not recommend anybody eating here, especially considering the choice of eateries in the area.
The Old Fish Market advertises itself as a Gastro pub but I have found far better quality food from many take-a-ways and at a fraction of their overblown prices. Do not eat here but do drink the fine variety of ales!

Food Rating - 3/10 Beer rating - 9/10 Bar rating - 7/10
