Fall Well, Liverpool

This might be the finest pub in the world, with the best beer and food.

Unfortunately, we'll never get to know. Visiting around 6.00 pm on a Tuesday evening it was impossible to get served - the staff seemed to be busy either arguing over a bill or popping in and out of the kitchen washup area - so we had to go elsewhere for food and drink.

Still, if Wetherspoons don't want money from their customers, I suppose it's very kind of them to provide a waiting area for the buses for free.

The Castle, Acton

Served a perfectly passable pint of Pride; food looked OK - served until 9.30, and e were there at 10.00, so we couldn't order. Probably not the greatest pub you'll ever meet, but it's clean and feels safe - and easily acessible from the North Acton Holiday Inn Express.
