The Hogshead, Southwark

The Oxford English dictionary describes a Hog as,

"a pig, especially a castrated male reared for slaughter"

and Head as,

"The upper part of the human body, or the front or upper part of the body pf an animal, containing the brain, mouth and sense organs."

Luckily neither description really accurately portrays the Hogshead. In fact although my group of friends constantly argue about the nature of this pub we always come to the conclusion that its great. I give it 9.5 out of 10. "A great place to sink a few pints."
