Red Lion, Chesterfield

absoloutly awful... trying desperatly hard to be something it is quite clearly not. perhaps they should have spent more money on the toilets instead of trying to pull off what is quite possibly the most ridiculous makeover in history.

in the middle of nowhere and with nothing by the way of an outdoor area aside from an over sized car park. Which is in itself wholy useless due to the fact that the place was empty.

now to the food: again wishes it was something it is not... the game was undercooked my wife had a ploughmans lunch which came with blue cheese (WTF!!!) and i had to ask for an onion and was bought a slice of red onion.

the cheese board was an abomination!!! one of the very few things its difficult to do wrong... a mild , hard, soft, goats and a blue cheese (viola red lion!!) unfortunatly they managed to bungle this also three cheese's one of which was a repeat of the blue cheese i had with the ploughmans no imagination whatsoever....

steer well clear of this place if i were you mind you i doubt it will be open for much longer judging by the level of people who were there and the few people i have spoken to that have been.
