The New Inn, Hockwold

I am an expat visiting the UK. And we have three restaurants abroad. Visiting family who had used this Pub at lunch time, on Sunday 10th July 2011, but did not pass their comments on to us, before we arrived in the evening to eat here. We had our order taken at the Bar, and then a young boy of 9 or 10 was waiting on tables, very unprofessional. The young boy was very sweet. After about 15 minutes we were informed that one of the meals was not available. And to have another choice. My wife ordered the Sunday roast, which looked like it had been turned upside down and put back on the plate and thick brown gravy poured all over it. The meat was tough, the roast potatoes could have been cooked a week before. And my sister-in-law said the about her lunch earlier in the day. We did not eat our meal and was very disappointed with the quality and presentation. Having been in this business both in UK and abroad for 30 years would not recommend this Pub for food.
