The Coombe Cellars Devon, Coombe in Teignhead

It all started off so well right up until we took a look at the food menu and sat down to eat.

The pub is nice enough, The settings is great but the food is not worth going back for. It was cold and the portions were shocking. I had the Fish of the Day which was Tuna... It tasted like it was frozen the night before, I could not even taste the fish because of the overpowering tastes of the sauces they pilled on top. My partner had the Roast of the day and she was equally unimpressed with it. We won't be going back, It took 5 hours for the taste of my meal to stop repeating on me...... As for the choices on the menu... There were none!....

The fish of the day was meant to be 'market bought'.... When was the last time anyone caught a Tuna off of Teignmouth estuary!

Keep it simple please and stop trying to be something you are not.
If you want to survive the winter trade you will have to start pleasing us locals...If not I can see another change in ownership coming before the summer.
