The Rose and Crown, Burwash

Visted last sunday for my mothers birthday. Did not pre-book and with a 2 year old in the group of four the staff could not be more accomodating in a busy restaurant. A lunchtime meal for 4 including deserts, drinks, and coffees coming to �60. The waitresses were very helpful arranging a child 's seat at the table in the busy dining room, nothing appeared to much to ask. The Harvey's old ale was of v.good quality and the food will only ensure we will visit again.
There is something good about being in a busy village pub at 3pm on a Sunday and not wanting to leave.
PS..Try the mussels in garlic sauce. It will not disappoint.
