The Shepherd and Dog, Fulking
Enjoyed visiting in 1966, and more so in 1985 when I had rabbit (IIRC) and a pint of bitter.
I am looking forward to my next visit, hopefully soon.
In 1985, none of the chais matched - I remember one breaking under a woman tourist.
Prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent.
I understand there have been changes.
However, the pub looks much the same and the countryside is beautiful. A day on Devil's Dyke and a nice lunch are what I look forward to. I hope my experience will be better than that of "Brightonbaker".
BTW, I have an oil painting of this pub, circa 1860, so perhaps I'm a little biased...
