Hark to Towler, Tottington

Great atmosphere, live music, decent beer, real comfort about the place. Definitely worth a visit!

The Castle Hotel, Hope Valley

Given that this pub is opposite the main tourist car park it's obvious most visitors will probably stop here for a drink/meal hence why it's usually the busiest of pubs in the area. I actually quite like coming here whenever I visit Castleton - the beer is nice and the food is only what you would expect pub food to be. The pub is friendly, upbeat and comfortable with different partitions housing real coal fires and traditional decor. It might not be the perfect setting for some and the odd person may have service issues (which pub/restaurant doesn't) but for me, it's a great little place to chill out on a fine day in Castleton.
