The White Hart, Great Wakering

The landlord of this pub went out of his way to open the kitchen at very short notice for a group of us girls looking for a meal out. The food was great as was the service and we all had a brilliant evening. Also whenever my husband and I want somewhere local to go for lunch we always feel welcome here and, no, we are not regulars

Anchor Hotel, Great Wakering

bacardi tasted of Archers & when told of the problem the barman wasalready aware due to complaints from other customers! hoice of lunch very limited & again barman not helpful, didn't seem to care but wanted to 'play' with his mobile phone. Very strong chemical smell filtering throough to bar so not very pleasant
Doubt we will go back
