The Alma Arms, Navestock
Have been going to the Alma a several times a year for over 20 years. Tonight was the worst experience. Skate smelt of ammonia and I couldn't eat it, the smell put my husband off his steak and stilton pie. Service really poor-3/4hour wait for dinner from 6.15 pm so not massively busy-we were warned it would be 20 minutes! One of the chefs came out picking her teeth then handling the food. Such a shame- we won't be going back.
