Please, if you want polite service and a child friendly landlord and staff, DO NOT GO TO THIS PUB. We were treated so rudely and made to feel so bad by the landlord. My two friends with their two little boys aged 12 months and 18 months ate their food in highchairs. inevitably they made a bit of a mess on the floor which one mum offered to sweep up, she had already been on her hands and knees under the table getting bits off the floor. when it came to us leaving, (and this is the bit that annoys me the most) the land lord shouted in a very loud voice, totally uncalled for, that the floor was such a mess. He was thoroughly unpleasant, the whole bar heard him and my friends were made to look small.

My answer is if you allow youngsters in a restaurant you are going to get this sort of problem. Secondly, when my friends first arrived they made a point of asking where the staff would like to seat them because of having such young ones. They should have shown my friends to a table on the stone floor, rather than a carpeted floor.

But no matter what, nobody deserves to be treated the way my friends were especially not by the landlord. I guess there is no accounting for ignorance!!
