The Bloomfield Inn, Arno's Vale

I saw a comment about this place in the old CAMRA magazine and popped in for a pint this week. I guess it's a place for the summer because the last reviewer was right, cold and not very clean. There were 4 beers on handpull. Courage best was �2.50 and not bad. Other beers are more expensive. I'll call back when it's warmer.

Pilgrim Inn, Brislington

Picture on this site is a bit outdated. Inside it's a lot better than it used to be and the new people have managed to get the local people interested in using the place again. We used to use the Pilgrim years ago, but it went so far downhill that I thought it would close and be more flats. Nice to see that the place is now used by sensible people and not the yobs that used to hang around outside drinking cans of cider.
