The Regent, Balham

I have never experienced worse customer service in my life in a pub. The attitude and service of the manager is just extraordinary. I went to have a quiet meal after work and watch the football, standing at the bar i was told that i should keep my eye out for a barman bringing my meal. No probs. I noticed 2 burgers sitting at the end of the bar and had been for 20 or so minutes. The manager served me one of these burgers! After explaining they had been sitting there for some time i was told i was wrong he had just cleared the area. I said no i have been here waiting keeping an eye out they have been sitting there for a long time, "no they havent mate" over and over. I was stunned. Starving and not going to win the argument an not wanting to be out of pocket i had to eat it. After finishing my pint and about to walk out i heard him say that food was off as the bar was too busy as someone asked to get some hot chips. Amazing. Two work colleagues were treated the same way the next week when they asked to watch a cricket match on setanta. Never again...
