Just thought I would warn anyone thinking of going here- please don't the lovely manageress has gone and in her place is a rude arrogant scottish man who doesn't care a jot about the place. Staff are stomping about the place, plates slammed in front of you. Curt service at the bar- unless you get served by the young lady. Food was ok but

Not been here for a while-what a surprise: Been taken over by a female manager, she's got rid of most of the yobs but obviously there are still some, although they are confined to the bar area! Food quality has drastically improved- beer is good, took my family there and the kids were given balloons and activity packs( that's a first!!)
Must say never thought a female manager would hack it there but she seem to have made a great start. Staff are all friendly and they seem to enjoy being there now. What's that saying?? A woman's touch!

Got to be said: What an improvement!!!! Have not visited this pub for nearly two years and it has changed for the better. Tha mangeress is friendly and welcoming (not like the last couple), food is lovely even if it is 'pub grub', beer is good quailty although they only serve one draught beer- Abbot, I noticed that they have still managed to be cask marked. My kids loved it, play area was clean and tidy, drawing packs given out for free, even balloons were decorating the outside. The manageress even let my kids take some balloons home.
Would recommend this to anyone with a family!!!
