The Mount Inn, Boughton

Friendly little pub, decent beer and what a view across the meadows in the summer. Can't think of anywhere nicer to sit on a warm evening with a nice cold beer in hand. Friendly staff and a good crowd of locals- what more could you ask!!!

The Spital Vaults, Chester

Heard that the pub had changed hands so went for a look. Seemed to be just the same to me, but a lot emptier than I remember. A couple of studenty types playing pool, badly, and swearing a lot, again badly. Beer was ok but not much of a welcome. Not a family pub and I certainly wouldn't take my wife. On the plus side there was a great choice of where to sit and it isn't too far from my usual drinking hole- just had the one and went back to my local, I reckon it will be a long time before I trouble the staff at the Spital again.
