The Old Reindeer, Newark

On the recommendation of 'oneteam' I visited this pub to see the gigantic flag draped across the whole of the building. I was very disappointed to discover that it was only about 4ft by 8ft. The meal that my wife & I had was, however, most enjoyable. The topside of beef was, to my taste, perfectly cooked in that it was just pink in the middle. My wife had the roast pork & declared it 'excellent'. The decor is a lot better than many other places I've dined in (including some restraunts). The beer, again to my taste, was well kept & to the right temperature. Who am I to disagree with CAMRA (their Good Beer Guides for the last 3 years are on the bar)
