The Bree Louise, Euston

The positives first: excellent range of beers and ciders, no background music: just conversation interspersed with the hammering of opening a new cask! Negatives: very dirty, no atmosphere, unimaginative layout of interior, too bright, overpriced (unless you join CAMRA!), the toilets are dreadful but the customer does have their responsibility in this field! This pub could be so much better with a bit of effort.

The Six Bells, St Albans

I went to this pub in the afternoon and was welcomed by the lovely smell of wood smoke! The pub was in a lovely old atmospheric building with low beams and cosy corners. The beer range was good and in very good condition, as well as served in ' over sized' glasses. Unfortunately, my potentially idyllic experience was somewhat shattered by the rather offensive language used by the regulars, and is likely to put me off making a second visit!
