In Fulham, which has a real paucity of decent boozers, this place actually stands out a little. Granted, it's not really an authentic Irish pub but the crowd are decent enough types and the atmosphere is generally pretty good. The food is ok too.
Its big selling point, however, is the Guinness. It's genuinely excellent, and I honestly can't think of a pub in west London that can match it for quality. So pop in for a few pints of G if not for nothing else.

This is an outstanding boozer. It's a bit funky and has lots of character. Gets going on Friday nites with good tunes and some good looking ladies. It also does excellent food.
Don't listen to the morons who complain about it overly trendy and too like Hoxton. That's what makes it good in the first place. Thank god the ben-sherman shirted hordes tend to shy away from here. (Though the odd one or two seem to stumble in here and do their best to look sour faced.)
All in all, the pick of the bunch on Essex Road.
