Now under new management. They have done a lot to improve the look of the pub for the better. New management dont have experience of running a pub but are keen so give it a go; so give it a try!

The Fox and Goose, Coombe Bisset

Lovelly location overlooking mill pond in a pretty village.
VERY helpful friendly staff, good food, good beer.
But interior is very 1950s so not a cosy village pub. Recommended for a group wishing to eat out; but maybe not for a romantic couple

The Queen Victoria Inn, Priddy

Went to lunch yesterday. What a find! The english country pub we all dream of!
Good food and excellent beer. Recommend the Priddy ham.
Very friendly staff and locals (at least on a Wednesday when the previous landlandy runs the bar - can speak for other days).
Bags of oldy-worldy atmosphere too. CAMRA recommended 2012 but dont believe the 'Free House' sign outside - its a Butcombe pub.
