The Dog and Hedgehog, Dadlington

This pub has now reopened and it is quite a find. It opened this weekend under new management, incredibly welcoming atmosphere, lovely big dining room and had the most delicious Sunday lunch, with locally sourced produce. I would say it is the best Sunday lunch I have had in years. Can't wait to go back and dine in the evening.

The Marlborough, Richmond

Watch out for over-charging! It has happened to me a couple of times now. Just �2 - �3 here and there. Today I had the chicken for 2 (�22.50) with a portion of chips, a pint of Kronenberg and a single Vodka and tonic and it came to �37.35. I realised afterwards that �15 for 2 standard drinks and a portion of chips was rather overpriced, but they couldn't do a receipt at this stage. Learnt my lesson, will always ask for a VAT receipt in future if I go back.

Shame because it's a lovely pub, with a fabulous beer garden and dog friendly too.
