The Greenwich Union, Greenwich

I've been drinking in the Union since it was first opened, and had more than a few cracking nights there. But I have to say this place is getting more and more pretentious on each and every visit. What used to be a group of friendly, helpful staff has sadly degenerated into a group that frankly, take themselves far too seriously and look down their noses at anyone who doesn't quite fit their post millennium Greenwich utopian ideals. It�s called hospitality ladies and gents.

The beer is fantastic, and while I wouldn't object to a night here with friends, I'm having a lot more fun elsewhere these days, and that's what it should be about. Food is good (but expensive).
