Zero Degrees, Blackheath

Amazing Pear, Gorgonzola and Walnut pizza. Mussels are good too, you get plenty of chips and mayo to fill you up. Food is slightly changeable, depending on which chef is in charge of that cavern of a pizza oven.

The microbrewed beer really is quite good. A bargain at �2.40 a pint (in 2005). Nice huge glass etched diagrams all over the place to show you the "science" behind all the tuns and other stainless steel equipment that you can see way beyond the bar.

Steal one of the laminated drinks menus. I figure if you work your way through all the beers on the list then you've earned it. Don't try to steal the glass etchings, though. That would be bad.

They sell 50 litre kegs for around �70 too. If you've got your white escort van with you, you can take some of the fun home.

Little bit of seating outside for the summer, good view of the heath and the church (if you like looking at buildings). Plenty of other things to look at in Blackheath, though, if you know what I mean.
