The One Tun, Farringdon

The food is good enough (although they had run out of two of our choices) and the food serving staff were polite, friendly and cheerful.

But that part is handled by a different group of people to the bar staff.

The bar appears quite run down inside and some of the bar staff were rude - and loud with it. Some of the toilets were broken, others appeared not to work properly.

The evening started off pleasantly enough, but the rudeness of the staff and the broken facilities really put a damper on the night for me.

It's a shame because they do have a wide array of aged single malts and two ciders on tap, which will normally make me very happy.

Either way, the fact that it was so sparsely populated in the early evening, after work, in Farringdon and so near the tube, probably reflects the atmosphere they generate in there.

Shame.
