The Derby Arms Aughton is a lovely traditional pub with three guest ales which change frequently The Landlady will always try and get guests ales that customers suggest wherever possible. The pub has recently had a refurb but has kept all the well loved charecteristics. The food is homecooked and very reasonably priced as is the beer.
I have always found the bar staff to be friendly and welcoming & happy to do whatever the customers request wherever possible. The Quiz nights are really busy nights so some people obviously approve & i have had some great times there during the weekend !!!!!

The Derby Arms, Aughton
Visited the Derby Arms again yesterday, new chef there who is apparently michelin star trained & it was very apparent the food was to die for, i asked for a variation of what was on the menu and wasnt disspointed!!! still very cheap less than 40 for a family of four including melt in your mouth steak and gorgeous deserts (try the snickers gateaux if they still have any left). My other half tried all the guest ales one at 1.50 per pint unbelievable. lovely freindly atmosphere. we are going to the quiz night on tuesday which is either done by the owner Mike or one of the barmaids Jody and is good fun with a 500 jackpot to win and free sandwiches. cant wait
