The Cock Inn, Wivelsfield

What a lovely friendly place turned up out the blue with 11 family and friends in tow although not over busy had a nice crowd gathered in the bar side and a few tables of diners asked for drinks must admit best pint of Harvey�s I have tasted in a long time very well kept 2 members of staff on who I now know as Donna and Doug the managers looking very worn out but smiling and happy was asked to take a seat while a table was arranged to seat us all together 10 mines later we were seated all in a nice group menus in hand being told what was on the specials board prices are great so we all decided on starters and mains after taking our food order asked if we would like any wine to go with our meals ordered 3 red 3 white other diners seemed to be really happy at what they had eaten and the smells from the food was mouth watering was not disappointed starters arrived 15 mins the home made soup was great very tasty mains arrive 20 mins after starters was cleared a nice pause as more drinks were delivered to us enjoyed a nice dish of liver and bacon . 5 mins into our meal was asked if everything was ok. A great meal followed by a nice treacle sponge and custard. Coffee offered the ladies enjoyed us gents decided on another pint 10.45 wasn�t planning on it being a late night but felt very welcome and comfortable. Was just about to leave when asked if we minded the pub guard dog coming down as food service had finished not at all what�s a pub with out a dog expecting some large beast to greet us as we left instead we saw this little ball off fluff trotting towards us so took advantage while the ladies petted the pooch we guys had a extra pint
Great night very accommodating and very friendly definitely be back 10/10
