The Kings Head, Tooting

After reading the recent reviews posted on this site regarding the kings head I feel duty bound to set the record straight to members of the public who may have been put off the pub due to the comments of some disillusioned bored old farts who obviously have nothing better to do with their lives than bitch to each other about their local pub.
Indeed the pub has had some of its tvs removed and the big screen seems to be beyond use for whatever reason. However the big screen was almost almost unwatchable as it was so dull. As for the Tvs in the main bar area being removed i kind of support the idea. Solely on the basis that during big matches a minority of 'Fans'who essentially amount to no more than thuggish reprobates exhibit absolutly no regard for people in the bar trying to enjoy a quiet drink or meal in the front bar without having to listen to repeated lager top fuelled moronic chants. The replacement plasma screens are a welcome addition. As for the comments of the football team who used to swan in every saturday afternoon as if THEY Sponsor the pub, GOOD RIDDENCE! As for the comments about the new manager, fair enough if you dont nessesarily agree with some of his decisions but mentioning his full name online whilst keeping your own anonymous come guys have a bit of prfessionalism! you wouldnt like it if someone gossiped about you and your professionalism on a web site would you now. As for the bar staff despite the fact that there seems to be a new set of staff every month, I have always found them to be very welcoming, friendly and up for a laugh. but is it any wonder that they look miserable when they have to contend with a band of arrogant rude and abrasive buffoons who hang round the games machine. As for the female bar staff I sympathise! I would find it hard to deal with the lecherous comments and glares that the so called regulars are constantly sending in your direction. In conclusion the Kings Head is definatly in the top three bars in tooting. The only problems I can see with the place are the constant lack of real ale which causes my boyfriend untold stress, and that when its busy the food service can be pretty awful. Bring back the BUZZERS! Dispite this the main problem in my view is the so-called regulars. If you guys are really so offended about the current changes and the new management i have a suggestion for all of you. Why not get a hobby that does not invovle wasting your own time, this websites time and its readers time by writing silly pedantic rumours and gossip. Infact better still do us all a favour and go and drink somewhere else, where you will have a new set of staff to be rude to and a whole new clientele to grate on! If the new and old managment did meet up for a brain storm like one of you suggested the first topic on the agenda would to be to get rid of you lot and make the kings head a better place for everyone!!!!!!!
