The Turks Head, St Agnes

Visited this pub in 2006 and was extremely impressed with quality of the food and the ale. I did highly recommended it and couldn't wait to return to the island this year. However, just returned from 2 weeks in St Agnes and had to spend most evenings in the Turks for our evening meal (no other pub on the island) BUT owners had changed since the last visit and the food was very disappointing. Very bland meals, no starters, chips tasteless, steak tough and undercooked every time, menu unexiting, no local produce used, uht milk served with coffee and service very slow. No beer mats and tables weren't cleaned until late in the evening. No thought into menu or pesentation and general area outside needed some tlc. Would not recommend for food but views outside are spectacular. The potential is clearly being missed by the owners and it could do so much more with a little thought and effort. Shame.
