Dewdrop Inn, Eastbourne

Attractive outside , set in Little Chelsea.We had read it had a suntrap garden, looked for a website and coud not find one.Pleasant surprise, comfy chairs inside, simple but attractive decor, two rooms, leading through to garden area. Barmaid very friendly. Pub very quiet..it was about 1.30pm.Someone was working, a family were chatting We went through to catch the sun, to a yard which needs a bit of a tidy up, but has a huge vine...a table was under it! ...and other plants. Really could be made more of, so let's hope the owners do that , as town pubs with gardens can be attractive.We are older customers, but felt it was the sort of place all ages would feel comfortable with, and we would return.

Golden Cross Inn, Hailsham

Delicious home cooked, nicely presented food with lots of fresh vegetables and a good choice.The interior of the pub was disappointing, quite dated and knocked about, so there was a mismatch really between environment and food.No particular comments about the bar service, but food was served cheerily,
