The Moon Under Water, Balham

When will management and bar staff realise that, without customers they do not have a job.
We are a necessary evil in a pub.
I approached the bar and waited, as one does, I was suitably ignored.
A person with a strange scalp like object protruding from her head deigned to take my order whilst speaking to another member of staff on my side of the bar.
No eye contact with me whatsoever therefore no engagement with customer.
Luckily the pint of Adnams was most enjoyable.

The Bedford, Balham

The ale was good ( a pleasant pint of Directors )
The food, fish, chips and alleged mushy peas, left a lot to be desired.
I advised a member of the bar staff that the food left a lot to be desired
and was told the Chef would speak to me shortly.
A chap in a none uniform shirt and glasses on his head
came to my table and asked ' what's up? '
I advised him that the Chef was coming to speak to me, he told me ' no '.
i pointed out the dry ' mushy ' peas and the overdone battered fish and advised him that it was not good.
He stated that the peas were not dry and did I want another pint.
I advised that I wanted it noted that the food was not good and that I did not
want a freebie!!!!!
I then left disappointed.
