The Halfway House, Earlsfield

This pub could be so much better. The bar is far too small for the size of the pub and despite it being there for roughly two years, the staff are still very inexperienced and very slow. The food is awful and I would say NEVER eat here. Even if you're not a particularly good cook, anyone could make better food at home for far less money. I have had quite a few meals here and never been entirely satisfied but after my last visit, I will never make the mistake of eating here again, you will feel thoroughly ripped off. The last time we went it was so bad we didn't eat it, got our money back and went over the road to a lovely place which is value for money and has excellent service. There are plenty of eateries in Earlsfield now and I would say that every single one is far better than here (apart from the Leather Bottle which incidentally is also a youngs pub!) Think the manager here has bitten off more than she can chew and its two year success so far is ultimately down to its proximity to the station. I will continue to drink here despite the music which is generally too loud after 8pm regardless of the number of people in there and the atmosphere as it is close to my house and other friends often go there. However, the food is a disgrace! I repeat, DO NOT EAT HERE!
