The Rose and Crown, Sandridge

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner after we were told they had an amazing new chef and have to say we were really impressed by the creative menu, much better than all the usual frozen rubbish on offer!
I wanted the pigeon breast but menu had changed from when I had been in to get a sample, which is actually a good thing as when you find a good place you don't want the same menu again and again if you are going to eat there regularly.
All four of us had the ham hock terrine which was delicious, followed by rib eye steaks which were cooked to perfection. Waitress was friendly and gorgeous too, which was much appreciated by the men in our party. A real find and we will definitely be going back to sample more.
