The Albion Taverna, Faversham

This seems like a nice pub. but DON'T go there for food. Have been there twice now. The first time was as part of a large party and the service was pretty woeful but I thought it might just be because of the size of the group. The second time I went in a group of 5 or 6 on a Sunday afternoon. Having placed our order for food we popped back to the bar after 40 minutes to find out when we could expect our lunch. They were rather busy and told us it would be out in twenty minutes... After waiting another 30 minutes one of our party overheard a conversation outside the kitchen on her way to the toilets making it quite clear that they were prioritising tables that had booked. Asking again when our food would be ready we were told it hadn't even been started yet (more than an hour after placing our oder)

If we had been told that our food would be a while when we ordered, or if we had been given a truthful answer after 40 minutes I might not have had so much of an issue, but they appear to have no idea of good customer service and the value of treating your customers with respect.

A real shame as the location is so nice, but I'm guessing this is the only reason that they're still going as the food isn't even very good.
