As we were stying in the hotel across the road for Bank Holiday weekend my Fiance and I popped in on a coupleof occasions for a drink. On both occasions it was impossoble to sit outside (even though the weather was warm and fine) due to the large number of smokers) so we sat inside!
Lots of TV's for the sports fans. Saturday afternoon was peaceful and we enjoyed a couple of pints. Sunday evening was busy and a quiz night. Staff mainly attentive and polite, except they appeared to have no concept of who they needed to serve next!
All in all an ok pub. Depends on what your needs are; and seemed popular too.

We popped in here on Bank Holiday Saturday evening when visiting friends in Nottingham. They had been told that the food and service was of top quality.
The bar was small and empty, including no-one around to serve. When a young lad eventually appeared we enquired about meals and we were presented with an A4 photocopied sheet of about 5 starters, mains and deserts. Limited menu for evening meal so we decided to eat else where. There looked to be reasonably priced real ales, though we never stuck around to find out!

Took my Fiance in here on a trip to Nottingham bank holiday weekend. I had good memoried of evenings spent in here during the 18 years I lived in Nottingham and it was good to return to see it had not really changed.
Still selling a good range of real, cask ales, guest beers and ciders. I enjoyed a nice pint of guest cider whilst my partner had a tasty pint of mild. We had breadcakes for lunch; good choice of fillings and very nice they were too. If we hadn't been going out for dinner that evening we would have probably eaten a hot meal as there was a wide variety of choice and reaonably priced too.
All in all an enjoyable afternoon spent in this pub. Would always visit when passing and highly recommended!
