The Black Horse, Bean

My wife and her friends popped in to watch the rugby on a Sunday afternoon, thus prompting the single post unpleasant pub experience they�ve ever had (I�ve had worse but then I�ve been to a lot of bad pubs not to mention the last time I was in this one). The barman was inept and a coward, the lager was warm and possibly infected and the clientele were boorish, idiotic and quite openly racist.
Two of our friends happen to be not �Eng-er-lish� and were quickly reminded of the fact. I quote �Fuck off back to where you came from�, �Don�t you have TV where you�re from?� �Why are you in here anyway?� The TV was then unceremoniously and confrontationally switched off. My wife and her friends wisely made the decision to �Fuck off back to where they came from�� Longfield. How ridiculous of them to think about going to a pub to have a couple of pints and watch sport. How very un-English.

The Selkirk, Tooting

Worse than it should be. Wandle ales on tap not in the best condition. Overly complicated menu, poorly executed. I've never seen so many dishes that required smoked haddock. Cramped too, with the usual plethora of large empty tables with reserved notices on them.

The Red Lion, Barnes

Despite the mediocre rating, this is a good pub. All the Fuller's beers, inc. the porter which is a rare gem and a nice cosy atmosphere made for a most pleasant evening.
