The Albany, Thames Ditton

I can only assume beermonster2006 owns one of the other pubs in Thames Ditton because I could see nothing to justify such a rant. I went to the Albany for Fathers Day and was somewhat apprehensive after reading the last review.

Perhaps beermonster2006 was just very unlucky but our meal was excellent. The staff were extremely pleasant (and very attractive I must say - don't tell the girlfriend)!

The different types of bread which were served whilst we waited for our starters were very tasty and absolutely not stale.

Of the various dishes we had, not one member of our party had any complaints at all and I don't feel that it was overpriced. The refit inside is really very good and I think justifies a few extra quid on the meal as it's a very pleasant place to eat.

The clock-watching manager I didn't see so I can't comment on, although we didn't feel rushed at any point.

As for the toilets being disgusting, I feel that I should point out that I don't believe beermonster2006 is talking about the cleanliness which is perfectly acceptable. Rather I believe he is referring to the erotic photos on the wall which evidently exist in the ladies too (of the opposite sex though of course)!

I would suggest everybody goes to this pub. I think it's excellent and I'll definitely be going back.
