I felt so strongly about the stupid comments from the last couple of "users" who should be booted off a good site for posting such utter rubbish
Yes the beer is great and the food is what a pub should serve! Good quality pub food and my god its very busy lunch and night time for food which shows how good it is!...you can stick "Gastro pubs" where the sun don't shine. It has a very good local reputation, speaks for its self.
Taxi �30...what are you taking??????? Windermere is 2 miles away, I got a taxi each night for �4.50 for 4 of us, so where the hell did you come from?...France?
Lacks atmosphere you say...bet when you left it lifted and became a happy place.
We all thought it was the best pub we visited in the area and that was last week
Beautiful Collie Wobbles �2.60 a pint....ooh sooo expensive....NOT!!!!!
Try Grasmere....�3.00 a pint for Tetleys bland mass produced
By the way the pub brews its own beer on site and might I say, well done great beers!
